DuraLife® FPLP-CI Free Air, Plenum Rated Cable is the only two-hour fire rated circuit integrity cables that are plenum rated and designed for free-air installations.

In 1986, Radix purchased a second facility in Aurora, OH, greatly expanding capacity and product development resources.

Starting in the 2001, a focused effort was made at Radix to address agency compliance, eliminate HAPs, reduce air emissions of OC’s, and address any possible health aspects concerning chemical exposure. Reducing air emissions and other improvements have not only had a positive effect on our employees, but improved product quality and performance.

In 2019, Radix adopted a spot in its home city of Euclid, Ohio. Radix employees will do their part to keep Euclid beautiful through litter prevention, beautification, community greening, and waste reduction at a specified location.

In early 2018, Radix introduced Heat Defender 650 for use in extreme high-temperature environments. Rated to 600V at 650°C, Heat Defender was developed for a customer with an application that demanded superior resistance to high temperature that only Radix can provide.

Ever wonder how our products are tested? Check out this video. During the fire test, DuraLife cables are continuously energized at their maximum rated voltage and evaluated for circuit integrity. Following the fire test, the cables are subjected to a hose stream test.

In 2016, Radix joined the Association of Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), the single voice providing the home appliance industry and consumers with leadership, advocacy and a forum for action in public policy, standards and business decisions.
