The Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo (EWPTE) once again provided valuable opportunities to connect with industry professionals from across North America. With attendance up this year and a steady flow of visitors to the Radix booth throughout both days, the event offered a strong snapshot of where the wire industry is headed. Here are our top three takeaways:
Data centers continue to drive demand. Data center construction was the dominant topic of conversation throughout the show. With new facilities being planned and built across North America, demand for electrical wire remains strong. Many of these applications require high-temperature wire solutions, creating opportunities for manufacturers like Radix that specialize in reliable performance in demanding environments.
Expanded attendance created new opportunities. EWPTE was held concurrently with Wire Expo this year, bringing together both wire users and wire manufacturers from across the supply chain. The combined events contributed to increased attendance and introduced us to more suppliers, partners, and industry contacts. As always, it was great to reconnect with existing customers and discuss business conditions, upcoming projects, and expectations for the months ahead.
Tariffs remain a major factor in sourcing decisions. Tariffs continue to influence supply chain strategies throughout the industry. Companies are exploring a variety of approaches to reduce costs and minimize risk, and many of those decisions favor domestic manufacturing partners. As a U.S.-based manufacturer, Radix is well-positioned to support organizations looking for dependable, American-made wire solutions.
