Chuck joined Radix Wire & Cable as General Sales Manager in 1968 after years in electrical material sales at Dow Corning. In 1974, he and other associates executed a leveraged buy-out of Radix, and in 1982, VerMerris became President and CEO of the organization. Under his tenure at Radix, the company had grown substantially and sustained a leadership position in the field of high temperature wire and cable products designed for appliances, heater elements, lighting equipment, and heavy industrial applications.
