Low smoke properties. APPLICATIONS For use in circuits where the preservation of circuit integrity under abusive, high temperature environments is required. Iron, steel, paper and glass plants. 250 C continuous temperature rating under normal service conditions. 400 C temporary temperature rating for short periods. Power, control, or instrumentation. CONSTRUCTION Flexible stranded, nickel coated copper conductor. Reinforced mica and PTFE insulation tape wraps. Closely woven fiberglass braid conductor jacket, color-coded with high temperature tracers woven into the braid, the color sequence following ICEA S-19-81, Table K-4. Multiple insulated wires cabled together with a uniform left-hand twist. Where necessary, flame and heat impervious fiberglass fillers, treated with a moisture repellant finish. Thermal barrier of flame and heat resistant, glass reinforced mica tape. PTFE moisture and fluid barrier tape wrap. Braided fiberglass jacket with high temperature finish. Electrostatic shielding and drain as needed. COMPLIANCE Maintains circuit integrity one hour under MIL-W-25038 Flame Test method. Passes IEEE-383, 210,000 BTU (modified) Vertical Cable Tray Fire Propagation Test.
