Silicone Rubber

Silicone rubber is characterized by outstanding flexibility and resistance to moisture and heat to many chemicals and to weathering. It has high dielectric strength, resistance to current leakage, ozone and corona resistance over a wide range of temperature and humidity, with thermal stability to 250 C (482 F). Radix also offers a silicone rubber compound rated for 150 C (302 F) and 200 C (392 F) applications. For both compounds, use of a treated glass braid outer cover provides cut-through and abrasion resistance, mechanical toughness. Braidless silicone permits fast, clean, frayless stripping.

Radix offers a high-performance silicone rubber wire with an encapsulated glass braid (Sil-A-BlendTM) which eliminates the need for an outer glass covering.
