Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

Polyvinyl chloride (vinyl) is a tough, abrasion resistant material that is specially compounded to non-rigid electrical grade insulation and jacketing for communication wiring, low-tension power wire and cable, building wiring, and appliance and machine tool cordsets. Inexpensive, easy to handle, minimum spool coiling, retains flex. Small outer diameters. Usually specified for general-purpose applications at temperatures to 105 C. Material easily marked, color-coded.
