Mica

Mica tape is mineral laminated to a glass scrim backing to form a mica/glass composition stabilized with heat resistant resin. Its value is its excellent dielectric properties and long-term resistance to high temperatures. This composite allows the fragile mica to be applied as a tape held fast by a secondary insulation, braid, jacket or sheath.
