Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene

Known by the tradename Hypalon*, chlorosulfonated polyethylene can be compounded for almost total resistance to ozone attack, which can destroy many kinds of nonmetallic materials. Also exhibits excellent resistance to weathering, heat, flame, cracking and oxidizing chemicals. Excellent mechanical properties, high tensile strength, and resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion. The material has low moisture absorption and good dielectric properties.

Maximum Service Temperature, C (F)
