Aramid

Aramid fibers are aromatic polyamides produced by DuPont. Two versions are known as Kevlar* and Nomex*. These materials have excellent environmental and thermal stability, fatigue resistance and impact resistance. Materials are used in a wide variety of products, including use of Nomex as high-temperature taped electrical insulations.

Kevlar: 180 C (356 F)
